Four Great Suggestion How To Get Fuller Faster
Whether you're basking on South Beach or up to your ears in Atkins, you still need to eat less to lose weight. And, short of a muzzle, the best strategy is to simply be the slowest guy at the table. "Generally, it takes 20 minutes to realize how full you are," says Milton Stokes, R.D., managing partner of Culinary Nutrition Consultants in New York City. Here are four ways to finish last:
1. Leave it to lefty. It's a right-handed world, which means that something as simple as buttoning a shirt can take twice as long when done left-handed. Same thing goes for dining southpaw: Keep your fork in your left hand and your knife in your right, and you're guaranteed to go slowly. And, of course, if you're a natural lefty, go righty.
2. Pick up sticks. You should try this only at home. "Eat an entire dinner with chopsticks, even if it's not an Asian meal," says Stokes. "You'll know when you're full before it's too late." But no, you won't feel hungry again an hour later.
3. Expound, don't expand. Or, to put it another way, don't talk with your mouth full--just talk. The goal is to stretch out the meal with good conversation so that you know you're full long before you start overeating, says Stokes.
4. Drink and dine. When dining out, keep the water boy busy by taking a sip after every bite. Not only will this prevent you from settling into your normal groove of gorging, but the extra liquid will also help you feel fuller, faster.

4 med. baking apples, peeled and sliced thin
1 cup of water
2 tsp cinnamon
2 Tb sp cornstarch or arrowroot powder

1 cup whole/wheat or whole grain pastry flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 canola oil
1 Tb sp honey
1/2 cup low fat buttermilk
Preheat the oven to 375. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the apples, water, cinnamon, cornstarch or arrowroot powder, and Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or the applesauce/Steviva Brand Stevia Powder. Cook until the apples are soft and the mixture is thickened, about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the whole-wheat pastry flour and baking powder. Add in the oil, honey, and buttermilk. Stir until biscuits are moist. Add additional milk if necessary. Pour the apple mixture into a casserole dish. Drop the biscuit dough by tablespoonfuls on top of the apples. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes until biscuits are golden brown. Serve warm.
