Giving Your Attitude Altitude
One of the most important pathway to success in life is being able to successfully filter out negative information and allowing positive information to flow in. Here are a few suggestions on how you can glean the wheat from the chaff and being more positive influences into your life.
Listen to motivational/educational audio programs in your car. The average person drives 12,000 to 25,000 miles per year which works out to between 500 and 1000 hours per year that the average person spends in his or her car. You can become an expert in your field by simply listening to educational audio programs as you drive from place to place.
Chart Your Course
Take courses, seminars and classes and learn everything you possibly can. Learn from the experts. Ask them questions, write them letters, read their books, read their articles and listen to people with proven track records in the area in which you want to be successful.
Surround Yourself By The Very Best
One of my mentors, Brian Bieler, who incidentally have just finished his latest book Powerful Steps once told me surround yourself with only with positive, success-oriented people. Get around winners. As we say, fly with the eagles. You can't fly with the eagles if you keep scratching with the turkeys. Get away from the go-nowhere types and above all, get away from negative people. Associating on a regular basis with negative people is enough in itself to condemn you to a life of underachievement, frustration and failure. Associate only with positive people. Get around winners.
Visualize Your Goals
The last thing before you sleep and the first thing in the morning, think about and visualize your goals as realities. See your goal as though it already existed. Your subconscious mind is only activated by affirmations and pictures that are received in the present tense. See your goal vividly just before you go to sleep. See yourself performing at your best. See the situations that you're facing working out exactly the way you want them to.
Feed Yourself Mental Pictures
See yourself living the kind of life that you want to live. See yourself with the kind of relationships, the kind of health, the kind of car, the kind of home you really want. Visualize just before you fall asleep at night. The first thing you do when you get up in the morning is to feed yourself mental pictures. Those are the two times of the day when your subconscious mind is most receptive to new programming, when you fall asleep and when you wake up.

Walk 10 Minutes a Day and Increase Your Fitness Level
Old thinking was to work out in a sweat-filled gym for hours a day. No pain, no gain. New studies show that even short bouts of activity can increase your fitness level, especially if you're new at working out.
Park and Walk
Whenever you have an errand, park your car as far away as you can handle and walk to the store. At the mall, park at the farthest end and walk the length of the mall. Use every opportunity to walk. At the end of the day, it all adds up to better fitness.
Crunch in Bed
Before you even get out of bed in the morning, do 10 stomach crunches while lying flat on your mattress. Increase daily by one until you get up to 100. Think you'll never get there? Try it. You may eventually have to set your clock to wake up 15 minutes earlier, a small price to pay for a flatter stomach.

Amazing All Natural Sugar Free Apple Sauce Cake
(makes 8 servings)
Skill Level: Easy
1 cup all soy or whole grain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 cup reduced margarine or butter
1/4 cup molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup Steviva Brand Stevia Blend
(Option: double the apple sauce and use 1/8 tsp. Steviva Brand Stevia Powder)
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray an 8x8" metal cake pan with vegetable cooking spray.
2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and ginger. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine and molasses with an electric mixer on high speed for approximately 1 minute.
4. Add eggs or egg substitute and vanilla and blend on high speed for 30 seconds. Mixture will be very liquid.
5. Add Steviva Brand Stevia Blend and beat on medium speed until very smooth, approximately 1 1/2 minutes.
6. Add flour mixture and applesauce and beat on low speed until mixed, approximately 45 seconds.
7. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350° F.
