Who We Are Right Now?
how we define ourselves shapes our lives
How do you define yourself? Do you define yourself as your work? If you are a lawyer do you cross examine your family? If you start defining yourself as your vocation, your behavior your role in your family you will become what you are labeling yourself.
Perhaps when you make mistakes you refer to yourself as a screw up or you may refer to yourself as a procrastinator. If we start labeling ourselves it can become a self fulfilling prophecy and can color our lives which determines our future behavior. We all make mistakes, we all procrastinate but it does not make us procrastinators or any other label for that matter. Labeling ourselves can effect us permanently both good and bad.
Do you feel gifted? Well I have news for you. We are all gifted. If you believe this you will feel a sense of confidence and empowerment you may have never felt before. This is the day I want for you. You are not what your past is. You are what you are right now. I invite you to sit down and make list of "who are you really". Describe yourself in precise detail. Really take time with this and be very conscious while you do this. You will see a lot of negative beliefs but, you will also see a lot of good things too. Now that you can see who you think you are and how you define yourself make another list with all the traits of the person you want to be. Do this in the exact total detail as you did the first list. Take your time with this. Go inside and find this person. This is who you will be if you are committed to make your life better. This is the person you need to be. You should fuse with this person. If you were this person how would you move, how would you breath what would your posture be, how would you treat other people? Embrace how you would talk, walk, move and soon you will see your basic behavior start to change. You will become this person and before long your entire identity will change. But, you must decide to commit to this otherwise it may not work.
The way you define yourself will determine where you will go in the future and if you do not like the way you are defining yourself today, you do have the ability to change it right now.
Here's to your new future.
Thank all of you for your patronage.
Have an excellent day.

You Must Act On Your Dreams To Be Successful
If you want to be successful, you can start at any time. But you must start.
Don't make the mistake of not doing anything because you can only do a little. Do what you can do.
It will always be your attitude at the beginning of any difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome.
To be aware of what you want and not go after it, to spend years wondering if something could have materialized, and never knowing if it could have been, is a tragic waste of your life. The worst thing you can do is not to try.
To reach a port, you must sail. You must sail, not lie at anchor. You must sail off in the direction of your dreams, not drift.
A journey of a thousand miles, begins with one step.
Free Weights vs Machines To Build Muscle & Strength
So often I am asked which works better and building a better body; free weights or machines. Personally I use them both but I have found that free weights provide a more complete workout. However, they also require more expertise in their use. When lifting free weights like barbells and dumbbells, not only is the prime mover or Agonist being worked but all the muscles responsible for stabilizing the joint. The result is to increase the strength of the stabilizer muscles. Greater care is required when using free weights. Improper technique can result in injury to the user or bystander if the weights are dropped.
It is important to remember to enlist the aid of a spotter whenever free weights are raised over the head. A spotter's responsibility is to insure the safety of the user during the execution of the exercise. The spotter must observe the condition of the user and try to anticipate exhaustion. The spotter must also insure that balance and an even lift is executed, that proper breathing technique is adhered to and that proper form is being executed by the user. A spotter's strength is not as important as his or her vigilance.
Machines provide a safer workout than free weights. Machines also specifically target a particular muscle automatically. It's harder to cheat during an exercise by incorporating unintentional muscle groups. However, since lateral movement is generally restricted, machines do not provide as complete a workout.
When lifting overhead with machines, a spotter is not necessary since the weights are confined to a rack and not directly overhead. Some machines are not adjustable for height or length of limbs on an individual basis. This can cause poor fit and even undue stress on joints when the supporting pressure incorrectly applied. The Biceps Curl and Triceps Concentration machines in many gyms are not adjustable and may cause undue stress on elbow joints instead of applying pressure to the back of the upper arm along the triceps.
In summary, free weights provide the best workout when a spotter is available and proper lifting technique is executed. In contrast, machines provide a better workout than could be safely achieved using free weights when a spotter is not available.
When you are working out don't forget to drink plenty of water! What I suggest is adding the juice of half a lemon or 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cranberry juice to 32 ounces of water with a sprinkle of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder . Aside from being less than 2 carbs, you will get the health benefits that the stevia provides along with the vitamin C and electrolytes that lemon have. You can substitute limes for lemons if you get bored. Click here to order stevia powder.
Taking a WalkWith Awareness
Many of us take the benefits of walking for granted. Each day we limit the steps we take by driving or sitting for long periods of time. But walking even a few blocks a day has unlimited benefits – not only for our health, but our spirit as well, for as we walk, we connect with the earth.
Even when walking on concrete, the earth is still beneath us, supporting us. Walking lets our body remember simpler times, when life was less complicated. This helps us slow down to the speed of our body and take the time to integrate the natural flow of life into our cellular tissue. Instead of running from place to place or thinking about how much more we can fit into our day, walking allows us to exist in the moment.
Each step we take can lead us to becoming more mindful of ourselves and our feelings. Walking slows us down enough not only to pay attention to where we are in our body, but also to our breath. Taking time to simply notice our breath while we walk, through the length of our inhales and exhales, and becoming attuned to the way in which we breathe is taking a step towards mindfulness. When we become more mindful, we gradually increase our awareness of the environment around us and start to recognize that the normal flow of our thoughts and feelings are not always related to where we are in the present moment. Gradually we realize that the connection we have with the earth and the ground beneath our feet is all that is. By walking and practicing breathing mindfully we gain a sense of calm and tranquility -- the problems and troubles of the day slowly fade away because we are in the ‘now’.
The simplicity and ease of a walking practice allows us to create time, space and awareness of our surroundings and of the wonders that lie within. Taking a few moments to walk each day and become more aware of our breath will in turn open the door for the beauty of the world around us to filter in.
