Italian Dressing – Low Glycemic No Added Sugar

This  dressing is awesome on salads, obviously, but it also makes a great marinade. It is easy to make and will keep for weeks in the refrigerator.

 

 1 tbsp garlic salt
 1 tbsp onion powder
 1 tbsp stevia
 1 tbsp dried oregano
 1 tsp ground black pepper
 0.25 tsp dried thyme
 1 tsp dried basil
 1 tbsp dried parsley
 0.25 tsp celery salt
 2 tbsp salt
 0.25 tsp Guar Gum (mixed with the warm water)
 1 cup white vinegar
 2.50 cups olive oil
 0.25 cup water

In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, stevia, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt.

In a pot add the vinegar, olive oil.

Begin to simmer.

Add in the dry mixture to the simmering oil and vinegar.

Reduce heat and slowly add the water mixed with the Guar Gum stirring constantly.

Let cool.

Put in a bottle or jar.

Refrigerate for 2 hours to let the spices release.
