Relax Your Way To Weight Loss and Good Health

I want to talk about the effect that stress and sleep deprivation may have on your weight. I spent the last six years of my life in Los Angeles partaking in the “Rat Race”. Two things I discovered: only rats win the rat race and stress can play havoc on you emotionally, spiritually and physically. This stress can lead to weight gain and what is worse if you are trying to lose weight while you are stressed out or fatigued you will not gain any ground.

The reason is a little stress chemical called Cortisol which slows metabolism and instructs the body to store fat. None of the claims regarding cortisol lowering tablets on TV infomercials are true. It is simply marketers selling "snake oil" The only way cortisol level can be controlled is through relaxation and rest which can achieved through, meditation, massage, long walks, deep breathing exercises, Yoga, Tai Chi, basically anything relaxing and of course spending time with people who comfort you. By practicing these relaxation methods you will be able to bring your cortisol levels down. This coupled with a healthy balanced diet and exercise will result in a long life and slim physique.

Sugar Free Low Carb Chocolate Black Soy Bean Cake

Prep Time:<45 minutes

I just tried this recipe last night. I was totally amazed. There is absolutely no soy bean flavor at all. It tastes like a rich and moist chocolate cake. Once you try this it will be a recipe you use often. Enjoy!

Ingredients
15 ounces Eden Organic Black Soy Beans - canned -- drained and rinsed well
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups Steviva Brand Stevia Blend
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder such as Dutch processed
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans -- to taste, optional - any nut you prefer
4 ounces cream cheese


Directions

Preheat oven to 350
Spray 9" round pan with nonstick spray, then line with 9" round of parchment paper; spray paper lightly.
Mix all ingredients in food processor until smooth (don't add the nuts until the very end and then just pulse them to break them up).
Pour into prepared pan and bake 35 to 40 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.

Optional: Can add 2 teaspoons any flavor Davinci sugar free syrup or 2 tablespoons sugar free peanut butter to mixture before blending if desired.

For a real treat cover with Fluffy Cream Cheese Frosting it only adds 1.5 Carbs per serving. Simply mix 1 Pound Softened Cream Cheese, 2 Tbs. Xanthan Gum, ½ Stick Softened Butter and 1 ½ Tsp Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or A Tiny Dash of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder. Beat the cream cheese & butter together, sprinkle on Xanthan gum and Steviva Brand Stevia Blend very slowly as you are beating it.

FOR CUPCAKES: Bake at 325 for about 20 minutes.
