Good day...

It is only 3 more days until Christmas and without question... most of us will be serving food to friends and family. We can be conscientious of ours and their special dietary needs with the following suggestions. I recommend that you focus on lean meats, like chicken, turkey, pork, beef, any lean cuts are fine. Those lean cuts of meat work for both a low-fat and a low-carb diet. Seafood can also work for both. Shrimp or salmon are good choices because they're very high in omega-3 fatty acids and most Americans aren't eating enough of them. Don't forget the veggies paired with low fat dips you can whip up with the help of low fat sour cream or yogurt. And try to mix it up when it comes to crackers and breads for the carb-conscious. You can serve the flat breads because most of them have no fat at all and there's a wide range of whole grain choices that you can pick from that are low in carbs.

Sugar Free Low Carb Christmas Cocktail (Non-alcoholic or not)
Serves: 4
Carbs Per Serving: 6.5 g
Prep Time:<10 minutes

Ingredients
1/2 cup Steviva Brand Stevia Blend
2/3 cup water
2/3 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
2/3 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 unbeaten egg whites
8 to 10 ice cubes
Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)
5 Ounces of Rum or Vodka (optional)

Directions
Combine Steviva Brand Stevia Blend and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Chill.
Place all ingredients, except cherries, into container of electric blender. Blend on high until smooth, about 30 seconds.
Pour into 4 glasses and top with a cherry.
