Listening to Your Inner Guide
five ways to tap into and trust your intuition
Listening to your intuition is one of the most powerful assets you can carry in your saving account of personal development tools. But, it is one of the most difficult to tap into. Most of us do not trust our intuition fully. Not because our intuition has ever steered us wrong, quite the contrary. Has there ever been a time in you life that you have fully listened to your intuition and the net result was not positive? Yet, we all doubt our intuition even though it has served us well. I have found that the reason for this “doubting Thomas” syndrome lies in the fact that intuition defies our need for logic. There is nothing logic based in listening to a “gut feeling”. There are generally no facts to back it up; it is just a feeling. And in these times feelings are unfortunately easily dismissed.
Whenever you have an intuitive or gut feeling, you will probably get some sort of physical sensation like a fluttering feeling in your chest or a feeling in your stomach.
Whenever that feeling that your intuition has been stirred focus on this physical sensation. When you practice feeling your intuition your body and mind make a mental note of what is going on. With time and practice these feelings will become very apparent to you. And over time you will begin to trust them. I recommend that you write it down when you encounter these feelings it will affirm everything you are feeling and strengthen your trust.
When you repeat this process over and over your confidence in your intuition will grow and eventually you will learn to listen and trust completely.
Here are a few tips on how to get in touch with and trust your intuition:
1. Be quiet
Practice taking time out every day to experience silence. Calm your mind with traditional or active meditation. Release your need to think, analyze, and know everything. The best information comes from the deep recesses of your spirit.
2. Be open and receptive
Open to the gift of intuition and accept what is has to tell you. Many times, our ego thinks it has it “all figured out,” but your true path may look very different than the one you are on. Being open to new possibilities and ways of living is paramount.
3. Be creative
There are many ways to be creative, painting, writing, dancing, designing a web site, etc. Do something that helps you get into the “flow,” that place where time seems to fly by and the work is leading you. Creativity is an expression of your spirit and goes hand-in-hand with intuitive guidance.
4. Ask questions
When you ask yourself questions, you gain additional insight and clarity. When you ask a question like “What is the next step I need to take?” know that you already know what you need to know. Trust yourself. You already have everything you need inside.
5. Journal
When you write, you tap into thoughts, feelings, ideas and direction that you are not consciously aware of. Writing allows the truth to come forth and is an easy way to gain insight from your inner self.
Over a short period of time you will develop a level of trust and clarity in yourself and your feelings that you have never experienced before.
Thank you for your patronage.
YOUR MIND
Time To Get Started!
Max Steingart
If you want to be successful you can start any time. Your only true failure lies in the failure to start. The reason why so little is ever done, is generally because so little is attempted.
The great thing is the start. To see an opportunity and to pursue it. Even though in the beginning, you're not totally sure of all the answers to your questions.
Taking a new step, uttering a new word, is what people fear most. Don't wait to overcome all your possible objections before you start, or nothing will ever be attempted. If you can get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed

YOUR BODY
Drug Nutrient Depletion
four common drugs that cost you in more ways than one
Beyond the co-pay cost for these commonly prescribed drugs, your body can pay another price with nutritionally from their use. Often medications will affect different biochemical pathways that can cause a depletion in one nutrient or another. While one problem can be solved, another maybe caused due to this. Below you fill find four drugs and the nutrients they deplete.
- Statin Drugs: This class of drugs helps lower cholesterol. Cholesterol is an important building block for all hormones in both men and women. While this drug is very effective, it will deplete your levels of the CoQ10, which is necessary to make cellular energy. Low levels of CoQ10 are associated with heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
- ACE inhibitors: This class of drugs are used to treat high blood pressure and heart conditions. The cost will be lower zinc and sodium, related to lower immunity, wound healing, and lower sense of smell and taste for zinc. Sodium, which is lowered as part of the therapeutic affect and shouldn't be replaced, when too low can cause dehydration, muscle weakness, low appetite, and poor concentration.
- Metformin: This class of drugs is used to lower blood sugar levels, while simultaneously lowering vitamin b12 which may appear as low energy, numbness and tingling, and psychiatric conditions amongst a few.
- Proton Pump Inhibitors: This class of drugs is used to treat GERD, commonly referred to as heart burn. Contrary to popular belief, is often a defect of too little stomach acid, which inappropriately moves the wrong way in the digestion track, up into the esophagus which isn't made for the lower pH that is needed to break down food in the stomach. PPI's will lower magnesium which is used in more than 300 bodily biochemical functions. A deficiency in magnesium can cause muscle cramps, contractions, seizures, abnormal heart rhythms, numbness and tingling, nausea, vomiting, and more.
While it is very likely that these prescriptions are medically necessary you should talk to your Naturopathic doctor about making sure that you aren't paying too much nutritionally.

The Question of Worthiness
Shifting into Gratitude
by Madisyn Taylor
When we question whether or not we are worthy of something it is important at that time to shift into gratitude.
We all know what it’s like to finally get something we want, only to find ourselves feeling as if we don’t deserve it. Whether it’s a car, a new job, or a date with someone wonderful, we suddenly feel as if we are not up to it. Something in us wants to reject this gift from the universe, perhaps because it requires that we think of ourselves in a new way or makes us question why we should have something that others don’t have. If these feelings of unworthiness are not consciously acknowledged, they can lead us to sabotage ourselves out of the gift being offered. Perhaps the best way to avoid rejection and sabotage is to simply shift into a state of gratitude, bypassing the question of worthiness altogether.
The question of whether we or anyone else deserves something is not really in our jurisdiction. These themes play themselves out in ways we can’t fully comprehend—on the level of the soul, over the course of many lifetimes. What we do know is that the universe has its own way of shifting the balance over the course of time so that all things are ultimately fair. We can trust in this process and understand that when a gift comes our way, it is because we are meant to have it. Otherwise, it would not be available to us. Accepting the gift with gratitude and using it to the best of our ability is true humility.
When we receive a gift and find that feelings of unworthiness crop up, we can simply acknowledge the feelings and then remind ourselves that they are beside the point. We might say to ourselves, “I am meant to have this.” As we allow ourselves to accept the gift, we might feel tenderness in our hearts that naturally shifts into a deep feeling of gratitude. As we sit for a moment, consciously holding the gift in our hands or in our hearts, we say “yes” to the universe’s many blessings, and we also say “thank you.
