Live Like There Is No Tomorrow
5 awesome tips on getting the most out of life
It is no secret to those who know me; I am a big Foo Fighters fan. The other day I was listening to one of their song entitled These Days. http://youtu.be/zPHzknP7jNQ . I found the lyrics to be quite poignant and it made me take pause and really thing about whether I am living my life to its absolutely fullest.
One of these days the ground will drop out from beneath your feet
One of these days your heart will stop and play its final beat
One of these days the clocks will stop and time won't mean a thing
There are two unique schools on thought on living life to its fullest. These create a dichotomy. The Buddhist philosophy would have us believe that we should not be in such a rush and take time to smell the roses and be in the moment. I get this. I am suggesting that we live every moment as though it were our last and while doing so stay completely in the moment of the experience.
Here are five tips to get the most out of your human experience while staying firmly in the present.
Fight the Fear With Faith. All of us are plagued with fear on some kind. Fear of failure, fear of falling, fear of intimacy, fear of not being good enough. Fear serves us no good. Whether it is faith in a higher power or faith in you, faith helps temper our fears. Faith helps us believe that we will make it through the moment that is trying the most. Take a minute to take a look at your fears, feel them, embrace them, write them down and ponder them, now release them. You will not need them any longer. Come up with an action plan on how you are going to overcome them.
Create a Bucket List. For those of you who are not familiar with a bucket list, it is simply a list of things you want to do or accomplish before you kick the bucket. My sister Gina is perhaps the person whom I draw my biggest bucket list inspiration from. Gina is a person who honors her bucket list and lives her life to the fullest. Last year she climbed Kilimanjaro. This year she completed her first triathlon and over the holidays she is climbing Aconcagua the highest mountain in the Americas . Take out a piece of paper and start writing down all of the experiences you want to have before you time is up. Get creative and put no limitations on yourself. The crazier the better. Look at this list daily and envision taking the steps to accomplish this list in its entirety.
Rally The Forces. No man is an island. Once you have made the commitment to live your life to its fullest bring in your support time. Draw people into your life and your commitment that will encourage you and even hold your feet to the fire if you start getting off track. You can even make it public if you want on your Facebook page or whatever social media you use.
Keep a Record of Record Breaking. Ink it. Once you start living your life to the fullest journal it. On days that you feel you can't move forward and you are stuck in the mud you can look back and see that you have made amazing progress and this lull will too pass.
Pay it Forward. Once you are on your path to fulfillment share it with others. Inspire them through your actions and accomplishments. Encourage friends, family, contemporaries and acquaintances with your kind words of support. This creates Karma and will make your experiences even sweeter yet.
Most changes do not happen overnight but, don't rule them out if they do. What I am saying is cut yourself a break if you aren't knocking your list out at the rate you would like. Keep your eye on the prize and keep pressing forward. Eventually your will get there and it will be awesome. Pat yourself on the back and know you have just lived your life to its fullest.
Thank you for your patronage.
Have a sensational week!

Flu Vaccine and Immune Health
5 tip that will boost your own defenses
To get a shot or not, is the question here, kind of. The intent of this article is to give you some resources for your own research so that you can make an informed decision on how to keep the viruses at bay and away from your body. The most important thing to consider are the populations at risk for immune compromisation, the elderly, pregnant women, chronic disease patients, etc, as they are lives are more on the line. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provides good information on what the flu is, and who they recommend getting vaccinated. However, most likely it is not the flu itself that kills people, but rather other complications, such as pneumonia, and “the flu vaccine is no more effective for children than a placebo, according to a large-scale, systematic review of 51 studies, published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews”.
While the flu vaccine is an inactivated form of 3 influenza strands, and technically shouldn't cause someone to get the flu, it was interesting to read several side effects of people getting sick after receiving the vaccine. Medicine Net provides more back ground information and allows people to post the effects they experienced after.
Here are 5 Natural Ways to Boost Your Immune System:
Eat the Rainbow! Plenty of fruits and veggies provide you with the nutrients your body needs to keep your immune system running smoothly. New recommendations have done away from servings, and have suggested the plate method, in which half of your plate is filled with fruits and vegetables, and the other with protein, and grains (gluten free ideally). And stay away from sugar!
- Supplement your Stomach! Probiotics are a great thing to take to help make sure your gut is in balance with good bacteria. Did you know that most of your immune system is actually in your gut?
- Wash your Hands! This is somewhat of a no brainer, but a good reminder that washing or sanitizing your hands often prevent infection from spreading. Choose a natural based sanitizer is best, free of chemicals; go to your local health food store for help finding one.
- Stress Less! Most people often get sick after traveling or after a deadline at work, or some other of life's pressures. Anything you can do to decrease your stress is a boost to your immune system! Consider drinking Kava Tea by Yogi, and taking B vitamins to help dampen the stress response.
- Take your Vitamins! There are many supplements that one can take, and are recommended even if eating properly, as our food isn't as nutritious as it once was. Some vitamins to discuss with your holistic doctor are A, C, D.

Nothing Extrernal Has Power Over You
Great things are accomplished when you believe that what's inside of you is superior to your circumstances. What you have outside you counts less than what you have inside you.
You're more important than any of your problems. You're bigger than anything that can happen to you.
Courage is a special kind of knowledge. It's the knowledge of how to fear what ought to be feared and how not to fear what ought not to be feared.
True courage is a result of reasoning. A brave mind is always impregnable.
Reality is something you rise above.

Honoring Your Person Worth
Your worth is not a product of your intelligence, your talent, your looks, or how much you have accomplished.
Though much of who and what we are changes as we journey through life, our inherent worth remains constant. While the term self-worth is often used interchangeably with self-esteem, the two qualities are inherently different. Self-esteem is the measure of how you feel about yourself at a given moment in time. Your worth, however, is not a product of your intelligence, your talent, your looks, your good works, or how much you have accomplished. Rather it is immeasurable and unchanging manifestation of your eternal and infinite oneness with the universe. It represents the cornerstone of the dual foundations of optimism and self-belief. Your worth cannot be taken from you or damaged by life’s rigors, yet it can easily be forgotten or even actively ignored. By regularly acknowledging your self-worth, you can ensure that you never forget what an important, beloved, and special part of the universe you are.
You are born worthy—your worth is intertwined with your very being. Your concept of your own self-worth is thus reinforced by your actions. Each time you endeavor to appreciate yourself, treat yourself kindly, define your personal boundaries, be proactive in seeing that your needs are met, and broaden your horizons, you express your recognition of your innate value. During those periods when you have lost sight of your worth, you will likely feel mired in depression, insecurity, and a lack of confidence. You’ll pursue a counterfeit worth based on judgment rather than the beauty that resides within. When you feel worthy, however, you will accept yourself without hesitation. It is your worth as an individual who is simultaneously interconnected with all living beings that allows you to be happy, confident, and motivated. Because your conception of your worth is not based on the fulfillment of expectations, you’ll see your mistakes and failures as just another part of life’s jo! urney.
Human beings are very much like drops of water in an endless ocean. Our worth comes from our role as distinct individuals as well as our role as an integral part of something larger than ourselves. Simply awakening to this concept can help you rediscover the copious and awe-inspiring worth within each and every one of us.
