Neutralizing Your Two Major Fears
solutions to overcome the obstacles to success

The Greatest Obstacle to Success
The fear of failure is the single greatest obstacle to success in adult life. Taken to its extreme, we become totally pre-occupied with not making a mistake, with seeking approval for security above all other considerations. The experience of the fear of failure is in the words of “I can’t”, “I can’t.” We feel it in the front of the body, starting at the solar plexus and moving up to the rapid beating of the heart, rapid breathing and a tight throat. We also experience this fear in the bladder and in the irresistible need to run to the bathroom.

The Fear of Rejection Holds You Back
The second major fear that interferes with performance and inhibits expression, is the fear of rejection. We learn this when our parents make their love conditional upon our behavior. If we do what pleases them, they give us love and approval. If we do something they don’t like, they withdraw their love and approval—which we interpret as rejection.

The Roots of Type A Behavior
As adults, people raised with conditional love become preoccupied with the opinions of others. Many men develop Type A behavior which is characterized by hostility, suspicion and an obsession with performance to some undetermined high standard. This is expressed in the attitude of “I have to,” I have to,” and is associated with the feeling that “I have to work harder and accomplish more in order to please the boss” who has become a surrogate parent.

The Most Common Trap
More than 99 percent of adults experience both these fears of failure and rejection. They are caught in the trap of feeling, “I can’t,” but “I have to,” “I have to,” but “I can’t.”

The Key to Peak Performance
The antidote to these fears is the development of courage, character and self-esteem. The opposite of fear is actually love, self-love and self-respect. Acting with courage in a fearful situation is simply a technique that boosts our regard for ourselves to such a degree that our fears subside and lose their ability to effect our behavior and our decisions.

Here are two things you can do to increase your self-esteem and self-confidence and overcome your fears.

First, realize and accept that you can do anything you put your mind to. Repeat the words, “I can do it! I can do it!” whenever you feel afraid for any reason.

Next, continually think of yourself as a valuable and important person and remember that temporary failure is the way you learn how to succeed.

Thank you for your patronage.

Have a sensational week!

The Power To Live Your Dreams
Max Steingart

Today you will take complete responsibility for yourself, today you stop making excuses, today is the day you start moving down the road to success.

No one else can do it for you. Only you can make it happen. You're the only one that has to live your life.

Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibility. It's up to you to choose the thoughts and actions that will lead you to success.

Your life will be what you make of it. Nothing will ever happen by itself. Success will come your way once you realize that you have to make it come your way by your own actions.

The power to succeed is yours alone.

Confused About Good Fat - Bad Fat?

Health experts advise that you keep your intake of all fats to 30 percent of your caloric intake or less, since higher levels have been associated with increased risk of health problems such as heart disease and cancer. But each of the different types of fat has a different effect on your risk of developing a disease. Saturated and trans fats are the most harmful because they raise blood cholesterol levels, increasing your risk of heart problems. Unsaturated fat does not raise cholesterol. Here are more specifics on fat types and their effects:

Saturated fat: Regarded as the worst fat for your health, largely because of its cholesterol-raising effect, this fat is solid at room temperature. You find it in beef, butter, whole-milk products and coconut, palm and palm kernel oil.

Trans fat: Formed by food manufacturers when they add hydrogen to unsaturated fatty acids to make the fat less likely to spoil. Trans fat is found in cookies, crackers, frozen dinners and some breakfast cereals. Look for the words "partially hydrogenated" on the ingredients list to see if the food contains trans fat, which may increase your cholesterol and result in health problems.

Polyunsaturated fat: Found in fish, vegetable oils and many types of nuts, this fat helps lower cholesterol.

Monounsaturated fat: Found in olive and canola oils, peanuts, avocados and almonds, this fat also helps lower cholesterol.

One note: The so-called good fats, which lower cholesterol, must be eaten in modest amounts. Fat of any kind is high in calories, and eating too much of any type can result in weight gain and its related risks, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

The best fat flush can achieved through keeping yourself hydrated! Don't forget to drink plenty of water! What I suggest is adding the juice of half a lemon or 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cranberry juice to 32 ounces of water with a sprinkle of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder . Aside from being less than 2 carbs, you will get the health benefits that the stevia provides along with the vitamin C and electrolytes that lemon have. You can substitute limes for lemons if you get bored. Click here to order stevia powder.

Celebrating Joy

"Joy is prayer - Joy is strength - Joy is love - Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. She gives most who gives with Joy."

-- Mother Teresa

Some people unconsciously believe it’s not okay to feel more joyful than the people around them. Out of a mistaken sense of caring, they squelch their joy and tune in to the sadness of the one they are with.

In truth, joy is one of the greatest gifts we can give to people around us. Those who are unhappy need our joy, not our sadness.

"Never miss a joy in this world of trouble ... that’s my theory!... Happiness, like mercy, is twice blest: it blesses those most intimately associated with it and it blesses all those who see it, hear it, touch it or breathe the same atmosphere."

-- Kate Douglas Wiggin
