How do I use it?

You can use it right away, as an easy substitute for sugar in coffee or tea.  Because Fructevia is twice as sweet as sugar, you’ll only need half as much as regular sugar.

Fructevia dissolves instantly in any hot or cold beverage — just pour and stir!

When baking, replaces table sugar 2 for 1 (2 cups of table sugar = 1 cup of Fructevia). Because Fructevia contains crystalline fructose, it retains the browning and caramelizing features cooks look for in baking, making it an excellent replacement for sugar in recipes.

What is it made of?

Crystalline Fructose:

We use only Non-GMO crystalline fructose. The natural fruit sugar, fructose, is easier on the body than glucose (table sugar) due to its very low glycemic index. It absorbs slower in the body.


Used for hundreds of years in cultures around the world, stevia is derived from the Stevia Rebaudiana plant. The steviol glycosides from this plant are used to create a sweetener that’s up to 300 times sweeter than sugar!

FOS (Fructooligosaccharides):

Fructooligosaccharides are a type of prebiotic fiber derived from plants that have digestive benefits, including increasing calcium absorption and friendly intentional flora.

Magnesium Carbonate:

Magnesium carbonate is derived from ancient sea deposits. While we use magnesium carbonate as an anti-caking agent—so Fructevia does not clump or stick together but flows freely instead—it is very important for the normal functioning of cells, nerves, muscles, bones, and the heart.

How is it made?


Our stevia is made with a clean, water-extraction process, and refined into an ultra-fine white powder. No bleaching or petrochemicals are involved in the manufacture of our stevia.

Crystalline Fructose

Crystalline fructose is created using the same manufacturing processes as sugar cane or sugar beets. After undergoing a purification, filtration and crystallization process, the result is crystallized fructose. Wherein, continuing to refine that same material, will later yield the undesirable high fructose corn syrup, which has a significantly higher glycemic index than crystalline fructose.


Likewise, a natural water extraction process is used to manufacture the inulin used in Fructevia. No bleaching or petrochemicals ever!

Health and Dietary Information

Crystalline fructose, the dominant ingredient in Fructevia, should not be confused with high fructose corn syrup, which can contain less than 10% fructose.  Our crystalline fructose has one of the lowest glycemic indexes of any food, with a rating of only 20, compared to 31 for skim milk, and 59 for sucrose (ordinary table sugar).

This means that 1 ounce of fructose raises your blood sugar only about 1/3 as much as an ounce of sucrose, and it releases only about 1/3 as much insulin. And since Fructevia is three times as sweet as table sugar you use only a third as much bringing insulin impact down to practically nil.
