13 Oct Stevia Sweetened Christmas Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting
Christmas cookies are traditionally sugar cookies though other flavors may be used based on family traditions and individual preferences. Christmas cookies are cut into various shapes related to Christmas. Since the 1930s, children have left cookies and milk on a table for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, though many people simply consume the cookies themselves. But check this out... while seemingly harmless these cookies can be loaded with sugar leading to Santa's Type II diabetes and our big fat Santa like bellys. Here's a recipe that cuts out the sugar but leaves all the flavor of this Holiday favorite.

Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
In a large bowl, cream together butter and Nectevia, Fructevia, Steviva Blend or a dash of SteviaSweet until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).
Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely and then frost.
Place all three ingredients in mixing bowl and mix by hand until cream cheese is soft and all ingredients are mixed together well. You can use food coloring to add a Holiday flair to these cookies.
